Chairperson’s report

A Teams meeting was held with Susan Mair, Legal Manager, AB&C. Present were David Allan, AB&C, KP, GL and MMcD. It was decided that the old Minute of Agreement between KKCPA and AB&C would still stand with amendments adding in Kilkivan and extended to 2045, with KKCPA acting on behalf of the Medieval Kintyre Project. The draft agreement is attached. KP has sent copy to HES to check that clause 4 allowing access is sufficient to permit a grant award.

KilchenzieOn Saturday 8th August, AB&C workmen erected a large 8×4 plyboard with No Entry scribbled in it, blocking off entrance to the slab shelter. This was done without prior consultation with our group or HES, (photo attached). Following representation to S Mair, Nick Lowden has agreed to remove the board and replace with a discrete laminated A4 signage. No Health & Safety report has been made available.

BEAR Scotland has been in touch with Kilchenzie residents regarding foot path along A83. Plans do not take footpath to church entrance. MMcD to request a crossing to be indicated at end of footpath.

Killean – KP had advised AB&C of unsafe roofing at the rear of the church due to trees growing thereon in January/February and the need for Heras fencing there. May be erected next week.

Kilkivan – Invoice for storage of the graveslabs to be sent to AB&C since this additional cost has been due to their delay.
