Update on Progress
Valerie Nimmo presented a slide show on the developments that have already taken place, and the difficulties in proceeding, particularly in relation to legal agreements between Argyll and Bute Council and the Mediaeval Kintyre group (KKCPA/LOAF).
Without these agreements, funding will not be available from HES.
Recent meetings between ABC’s senior legal representative and Mediaeval Kintyre’s representatives seem to be offering a way out of the deadlock.
Drumlemble School Project
E. McTaggart and S.Robertson outlined a project they have been involved in with Drumlemble Primary School.
The work included: practical art and craft work, site visits to Saddell Abbey and Campbeltown Cross (contemporary with Kilkivan), and historical information on these sites. Jan Nimmo and Paul Barham also delivered part of the programme. They were all impressed by the enthusiasm of the pupils for the project.
A vote of thanks to Valerie Nimmo was issued by John Armour for all the sterling work she has done to keep the project focused.
